| One housemate wanted, $170 a week, available April 5th 2010.
Come join two boho types (male & female couple), a large sweet natured dog and a special little kitty, in a beautiful modern Victorian-style house situated in tasty Brunswick. Smack-bang in the middle of Sydney Rd & Lygon St/ Victoria St & Albion St. We're also just up the road from a supermarket and trains and trams taking you to the city and Melbourne University, RMIT, ACU.
This wonderland has split-system heating/cooling, big open-plan lounge room/kitchen with dishwasher,spacious bathroom with spa bath, separate toilet, laundry with washing machine, floorboards throughout- apart from carpeted bedrooms, and an amazing tree filled courtyard. Up for grabs is the master bedroom, with your own modern built in wall heater, and view of the lovely sunny front garden. The house is fully furnished except for your room so no need to worry about lounge room furniture.
We are looking for a male or female, aged between 25 and 30ish, with a relaxed nature (so no drama queens please), and an understanding of decent household behaviour- ie, paying bills/rent on time, keeping the house clean enough, and being quiet & considerate when housemates are sleeping. The same taste in music will be a bonus-hopefully no radio pop, dance, metal/punk or hip hop being playing in the lounge room- we happily listen to all the indie tunes played onTriple J radio, and we love shoegaze/psychedelica and folk (and play in a band of the same nature- oh and we don't rehearse at home).
An important note: this is not a party house! Please don't bring your friends home in the wee hours and stay up all night being loud drinking and whatever, and we promise to show you the same respect.There are plenty of great places in Brunswick to party, this house is just for watching dvds, having a glass of wine, and relaxing. We're just a bit over all the hoo-ha and work pretty long days so we like to treat our home as a bit of a sanctuary.
So yes we have a dog and a cat, both of which are very quiet, non-destructive animals. If you're interested in our home you have to love animals, these dudes are pretty special to us. On our side of the bargain we will make sure that they make as little impact on your life as possible (clean courtyard/litter trays and we'll tell them to keep it to a dull roar.)
